R4 Phase 2 Day 12

Weight - 142.4

Up 0.4 dang it.  Oh well, trudging along.  One of my favorite local grocers has bison steaks available this week.  I love bison aka buffalo.  I'd never had it until my first round of HCG.  I snagged a few pounds of top sirloin as well as one small package of tenderloin.  Might go back later in the week for a bit more.

113 g Jennie-O turkey breast, baked

**Buffalo stir fry
160 g buffalo tenderloin, diced and cooked to medium
220 g mushrooms (not protocol)
75 g onion
beef broth for moisture.

No loss, no gain.  One more mini-steak day of the lean kind and I'm back to two meals a day for a while.

R4 Phase 2 Day 10

Weight - 142.0

Down 2.6 lbs after the lean mini-steak day.  So net effect after the cheat on Friday night is .4.

At the ballgame it was like my nose was in super-mode. I could identify food coming within 20 feed of me. The women next to us pulled out Subway and I thought the bell peppers alone were going to send me over the edge. Rianne was with me (she's about 3 weeks into R2). We managed to resist, but I was very tempted. My next night game in P2 I will bring my chicken, apple, celery salad even thought it's later eating than normal.  Not sure if today will be a normal two meal protocol day or another mini-steak day. I'm a bit hungry at 10:45, drinking coffee, so it likely will be a two meal day. My younger son and his GF are loading Monday and Tuesday so he wanted one of his favorite old school meals tomrrow. Shake n Bake pork chops, hashbrown casserole, and green bean casserole. At least it all cooks in the oven(s) and I don't have to stand over a stovetop smelling it all.

R4 Phase 2 Day 9

Weight - 144.6

Up 2.2 lbs from last night's late frustration eating.  Oh well.. it is what it is.  I'll be glad when my son and his GF are in P2 as of Wednesday.  I'll have an excuse to remove tempting items from the house.

Mini-steak day today (the lean kind).  I had planned this for today originally because I have a hair appointment at 10 am and won't be home until 2ish, then a baseball game tonight at 7.  I don't want to eat that late so I will do the steak around 4pm and be done.

Down 1 pound.  Hoping for no rebound tomorrow.

AND THEN

After some frustration caused by a friend I ate late and off protocol.  There will be damage
2 pieces of banana nut bread, some oreo minis and about 8 or 10 tortilla chips with cheese melted on top.  I would guess it pushed my calories to 1200 easily.

R4 Phase 2 Day 7

Weight - 143.4

A drop of 0.4 after nothing yesterday.  This week one is shaping up to be the slowest of all my rounds.
I'm going off protocol today and trying something several ladies on the forum at http://hcgdietinfo.com/ have done with some success.  I'm eating Fage Greek yogurt today in a combination of 0% and some 2% to get to the 500 calories.  Once I was done for the day I didn't like the look of my fat % so I added a bit of creamy cheese which did put me over the calories, but I think may help in the long run.

Zero, zip, nada..no fun and still in the first week.

I got my first delivery from a regional farm fresh organic service.  There was a nice surprise package on my doorstep bright and early this morning.  I was able to modify the items to fit my P2 foods.  I received braeburn and pink lady apples from Washington; celery, broccoli, lemons, baby spinach, cilantro, and green leaf lettuce from California; limes from Arizona; cucumbers and roma tomatoes from Mexico

1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp cayenne, chili powder, or paprika, depending on how spicy you want it.
chopped fresh cilantro and a dab of pico de gallo
Franks if you need more heat

180 g braeburn apple

Dinner - (182 calories)

R4 Phase 2 Day 4

Weight 144.4

Down 0.6 today and I'm wishing it were more.  5.6 lbs in three days.  If the losses are already this low what's this mean for the days to come?  I upped my protein today for both meals to get to 500 calories.

Sun was shining this afternoon so I managed to get out of the house for a brisk 3 mile walk in about 55 minutes.  Now this evening I'm pooped out.  Hopefully that means I'll sleep well tonight

R4 Phase 2 Day 2

Weight - 145.8

Drop of 4.2 lbs from day 1.  That's the largest first day drop of any of my rounds.  Slept like a log last night (thank you Ambien), but woke up around 6am sweating like crazy.  Realized that I fell asleep with my heated mattress pad on.  Maybe all that sweating helped the scale.  Spent the afternoon running errands with my daughter-in-law and grandbaby.  First time I've had any hunger at all was this afternoon when I ended up out later than a typical P2 dinner time for me.  Not starving at all, but I definitely knew it was time to eat.

I'm fudging a bit today since it's early in the round.  I mixed veggies in my soup for dinner and used mushrooms.  We shall see if I continue this or not.

Here we go again.

Weight is not pretty.  I'm calling it an even 150.0.  I didn't manage to weigh until noon and then it was 149.0.  So loading weight is 3.4 lbs which is typical for me.
